Husband/Wife Double-Gaming

October 5, 2010

I cannot believe I have not posted this picture on my blog. Especially since this blog is partially dedicated to my video game exploits. Kyle and I have set the video game room up very nicely so we can be with our two great loves at the same time: each other and our xboxes. There is still a problem when one of use wants to play the PS3–which barely happens. This forces one of us to be upstairs and the other to be downstairs, but luckily for us the video game room is a loft that looks down on the living room so we can still talk to each other 🙂 We are such nerds.

I found the table at the Theives Market in Florence last weekend. I was pretty excited when I saw it, but my best-buddy Stephanie convinced me to get it. It was perfect. I knew I would never find anything else long enough for my “needs” (aka “wants”). It’s a 70 in.  long coffee table. Since it’s a coffee table, it’s also the perfect height for a TV that you plan on sitting that close to.

That is so awesome! I’ve got to do this with my wife. She’s not as much of a gamer as I am, but we both find that spending time in front of the TV passes time well. Very, very awesome. Good luck with that!

Thanks 🙂 It actually works awesomely when we play co-op games. We played Halo: Reach and Fable III together like this. Sometimes it causes a problem when we are playing different games that happen to be dialog intensive at the same time.

We also both keep our work computers in this room to maximize our “quality” time together. We figure, as long as we are in the same room together, it doesn’t really matter if we are doing the same thing.
